Cooking Time:

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Peel and thinly slice apples
  3. Mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl
  4. Stir in apples to mixture and coat evenly
  5. Place first crust in pie pan
  6. Place apples onto crust
  7. Place other pie crust over apples (or get creative and cut into strips and weave over top of pie)
  8. Cover with foil and bake 40-50 minutes
  9. Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking
